Suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia! More young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer!
Living life well, with good mental health and positivity is so important! In Australia, more youth die by suicide than car accidents and cancer!! 😔
Last year while recoverying from neck surgery, I found it challenging to stay positive and my mental health wasn't great 🙃
Swimming was a way I could get the endorphins flowing to feel good mentally, while I strengthened my body physically for recovery 💪🏊♀️
Swimming literally saved me!
It gave me something to focus on as I set a goal to swim Busselton Jetty in 2025, which I completed last weekend with an awesome team The Midwife Mermaids 🧜♀️❤️🏊♀️
So throughout March, I'm swimming to raise $$$ to help young people in Australia have the mental health support they urgently need.
The 🧜♀️ Midwife Mermaids are in the pool this time, so please sponsor me/us, and I pledge that for every $10 over my goal of $300, I'll swim another lap (25m pool 😉) on top of my 20km already pledged!!!
