I've been struggling with a horrid cold this week, but I still swam on Wednesday evening. Wednesday was also the first time swimming without a splint in my wrist since I broke it & had surgery. It wasn't too bad but I was extremely nervous of getting kicked. So close to the finish now, with only 1.7km to go!

Swim 6



This evenings swim was an extra one for this week. First swim we've done with all 3 of our Umbongo team. Even got a photo with Will smiling! So another 1km done & only 9km to go!!

Swim number 3



Change of venue & a pool swim this evening, instead of the ocean. I'd forgotten how boring it gets following the line of blue tiles up & down the lanes. Much prefer ocean swims but it's too dark in the mornings now to swim before work during the week. The same goes for the evenings by the time my swim buddy gets back from work.

Swim number 2



1km swum in the ocean yesterday. Will joined me to do his first 1km swim.

Day 1



First swim in the swim net at the beach in 8 weeks, since breaking my wrist. Although not my first swim, as I did 1.5km at the Busso swim 3 weeks ago 🤫 Great to be swimming again!!
