I'm swimming to save lives

  • This is my seventh year diving

  • in for youth mental health

Did you know suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia?

That means that each year more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer.

This March, I'm swimming to make sure young people in Australia have the mental health support they urgently need.

By sponsoring my challenge, you’ll be helping to prevent youth suicide.

All funds raised will help young people feel better about today and the future, no matter what challenge they're facing.

35.5 km swim goal achieved

I have completed my swim goal but am still short of a few dollars to reach the goal of raising $1000. if you can put a few dollars in, that will make a big difference to our young Australians in need of mental health support. My body held up ok, only one toe nail lost and a few blisters but all will be healed eventually 😉😊🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️

I am now at a total of 20km and more than half way - 15 more to go to reach my goal - all your support and cheering me on and your generous donations are much appreciated and keep me going even with toes full of blisters and a toenail that is just about to come off.

Swam my third 5 kms on Saturday - it was tough going but managed to get through it - almost half way ;-)  #LapsForLifeAquaWeekend

First 5 km done 30 more to go :-)

Great start - managed to swim 5 km yesterday and blisters on the toes are manageable from the fins - hope to keep it up over the next few weeks ;-)
