Did you know suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia?
That means that each year more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer.
.This month I have been swimming and fundraising to make a difference and make more awareness known for youth mental health.
I’m doing this for my cousin Sienna who tragically ended her young life at the age of 15, Sinna was a kind and talented soul and had so much more to live for, the horror that this heartbreaking loss has brought my family has made me as an individual want to take action. Mental heath is something so incredibly important to young people. And the stress that it causes among families is just truly heartbreaking beyond words, parents should never have to burry their only child.
This month by taking the time to help sponsor me and spread the word you are saving the lives of many young people who need support and helping create the funds to talk to a trusted professional, but you will also be supporting my cousin’s legacy. She was too young and tragically made a rash decision because she was feeling lost.
I hope you can make something positive and productive out of this cause and spread the word . Together we can make a difference and a positive change and save the life’s of many young people and help families in need.
