I'm swimming to save lives
- This is my second year diving
- in for youth mental health
Mental illness has impacted every part of my life since I was young. Work, study, friendships, dating, driving, travelling, exercising, shopping, sleeping… everything isn’t an exaggeration! I’m really lucky to be in therapy and on medication which has literally changed my life, but not everyone has that opportunity.
In Australia, suicide is the leading cause of death for young people (aged 16-24) and more than a million young people with mental health issues don’t receive professional help. ReachOut and Laps for Life aim to better mental health and wellbeing for all young people and I’m committing to swim 2km a day in March to raise money for this incredible cause.
Any money you can spare will be greatly appreciated- whether you can skip your morning coffee or clean out the coins in your car, I will be very grateful. 💖
