Day 1 • i'm swimming to save lives !

  • This is my first year diving

  • in for youth mental health
Did you know suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia? That means that each year more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer. This March, I'm swimming to make sure young people in Australia have the mental health support they urgently need. By sponsoring my challenge, you’ll be helping to prevent youth suicide. All funds raised will help young people feel better about today and the future, no matter what challenge they're facing. My goal for march • to show up each day within balance to dip and swim as much as I can 20km swam by the end of march $1000 goal in donations ! Day 1: today I started laps4life to show up for myself and others dealing with MH, I went to my local pool and achieved my swimming goal ! I haven’t been feeling very great with my own MH lately so it will be hard most days but such a reward in the end ! it’s okay not to be okay- we are in this together 🩵✨

Healing & feeling better •

woo hoo ! I’ve gotten the tick of approval by dr to go for beach swims but not public pools, as long as I can show up and be able to swim, I am happy & excited to keep smashing towards the goal ✨ logically within the last 15days of the month it will be hard to reach 20km but that’s the whole point of a goal, a light to follow even if you don’t believe you are capable or seems logic because you never know maybe I will smash the last 16km by the end of the month ! never doubt yourself keep going 🩵 : walks in nature/ with my dog has been keeping me sane while being banned from swimming 😂

Unwell 👎🏻

due to ear infection I have had to take a hold on the swimming & laps which is a bummer but I have been told once healed I will be able to return back to normal ! 🩵 still time to reach my 20km goal by the end of march, let’s rest and get back to it when I can :)

Day 8 •

dip & swim at the beach 🩵

Day 7 •

30 laps of the 25m 7laps of the 50m 🩵

Day 6 •

today was a dip & short swim at the beach :) tomorrows goal 2km swim !

Day 5 •

43 laps done in the 25m 🩵 still feeling abit run down but taking it each day at a time ! tried out a new pool which I loved also :)

Day 3 + 4 • reset & reset

life doesn’t always go to plan - With many years of dealing with MH I know how dangerous it can be to burn yourself out, so day 3 + 4 I chose to rest as I started having signs of an infection behind my ear, sooo getting ahead of the rest/ reset before burn out is so cruicial ! I also had this self doubt and upsetment that I couldn’t dip on these days, within these emotions I remind myself not to be too hard on myself !a Showing up for myself by going for a stroll in nature which was really helpful with my negative emotions, showing up in the way that I could with the health and capacity I can give at that time, I am feeling so much better mentally and health wise to being able to reset on these days :) always listen to your body and show up the way you can each day without pressure 🩵

Day 2

Showing up each day no matter what :) Today was hard to push through but it’s all about building that resilience & consistency ! If it’s for a dip, swim, laps I will update my progress as I go ! Today I swam 20 laps of the 25m & 11 laps of the 50m 🩵 Goal 20km by the end of march ✨
