Did you know suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia?
That means that each year more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer.
This March, I'm swimming to make sure young people in Australia have the mental health support they urgently need.
By sponsoring my challenge, you’ll be helping to prevent youth suicide.
All funds raised will help young people feel better about today and the future, no matter what challenge they're facing.
First swim. Why am I doing this?
Hi all, thanks for your support in this important fundraiser. I did my first 1km swim today and was pretty tired getting up so early and doing a km first up after a long time out of the pool. But I kept reminding myself of why it is important... Youth suicide has such a devastating impact on the family and their friends, the impacts of which last for years. And the stats are frightening - each day a young person loses their life through suicide.My Swim Progress
