Swimming for Pals for Pallative Care

  • This is my first year diving

  • in for youth mental health

Pals For Palliative Care is a community group based in Adelaide, South Australia, mainly consisting of secondary school students, Including myself. Our simple motto, “It’s not about how much we give, but how much love we put into giving…", perfectly describes our common goal, which is to go out of our way to help others no matter the cause, whilst expecting nothing in return. So far, the group has raised over $10,000 for The Mary Potter Hospice (palliative care hospice) over the course of 3 initiatives, and over $2,000 in last year's Laps For Life.

For our first initiative of 2025, the group will be participating in Laps For Life, with the hope of exploring other important causes to support. Being school students, we know first hand what kind of stress young people can go through, and it is something that we definitely want to have a positive impact and make a difference in any way we can!
