This March, I’m challenging myself to swim to help save lives.

Did you know that suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia? That means that each year, more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer.

By sponsoring my participation in Laps for Life, you'll be helping ReachOut achieve its mission of ensuring that all young people have the support they need to be happy and well.

Breaking Barriers

As the weather starts to cool off a little, it is getting just that little bit harder to get out of bed and into what initially feels like a cold pool until my body adjusts to this new kind of normal.
With that said from the moment I get that first lap away...every lap there after I am reminded of how great it feels to have the time to think, talk to myself and sometimes answer back! 😁 but most importantly to keep working on not just my physical fitness but my emotional fitness.
We can never assume what people are going through in their personal lives so it’s always important to be kind to everyone at every opportunity. ❤️






Day 3 and another 30 laps down

Even with the rain and dreary sky this morning I sprung out of bed to get my morning exercise in and completed another 30 laps before work.
Much easier to do when there is such a good cause to inspire me to push myself 😊👍🏊‍♀️

Day 2 and another 32 laps down before sunrise

Getting used to doing my make up with the classic goggle rings around my eyes. A smile price to pay to help give back and make a difference to someone else son, daughter, sister, brother, friend, partner etc etc.

Day One of my 25km Challenge has begun

It was a slow start to my morning until I remembered the challenge ahead this month.
And with that thought in my head, I sprung out of bed and into 30 laps of action.
95 laps to go for the week.
