Swimming toward Change for youth struggling with Mental Health

  • This is my first year diving

  • in for youth mental health

It’s no coincidence that 1 in 2 young people are impacted by youth suicide in Australia by the time they turn 25.

I myself struggled with mental health from the age of 13, it’s scary to think if I did not have the resources available to me I would not be here today to share my story and encourage all of you to support our youth toward a better future.

It’s time to stand up and show we care for our young people who deserve to live their life to the fullest, it’s time to face that Suicide is the leading cause of death of young people in Australia and understand that we can make a change together.

I’m choosing to swim towards a better future for our youth, I invite you all to cheer me on and donate to a good cause.

All funds raised will help young people feel better about today and the future, no matter what challenge they're facing.

🤍✨

2.3.2025 We’ve started off this challenge with a bang! 180 laps, 1.8km in the bank. Swimming is highly underestimated sport in terms of difficulty but I’m loving it. As a mum of 2, who trains in the gym almost everyday.. swimming is a really good way to slow down and take some time to quiet the mind. Which is something we all need to do daily. Thank you to everyone who has donated we absolutely smashed my fundraising goal before the challenge even started and I can’t thank you all enough for being on this journey with me. Todays quote: “Mental health isn’t a battle to be won, it’s a journey to continue walking” Much love, Courtney 🤍

Day One - Phase One - Training - 20.2.2025

Hey guys, so I’ve started my training for March. Today I did 330 metres in the pool, honestly swimming is a very underrated difficult sport but I’m looking forward to smashing this. I’m aiming to make it to half a km tomorrow without any breaks so wish me luck.

We have reached our fundraiser goal of $1000 and I couldn’t be more happy that we get to take this journey together and work toward a better future for our youth.

Can’t wait for tomorrow 🏊 💚✨
