Why I swim
My beautiful cousin Lee is currently undergoing chemo as she battles breast cancer. Every March she takes part in Laps for Life, raising funds for youth mental health through ReachOut Australia. This year Lee can’t do the full 45km on her own, but she’s not giving up - she’s asked for help. Asking for help is not always easy but it’s important right now for Lee and it’s just as important for the young people experiencing mental health challenges that ReachOut supports every day. I’ve joined Lee’s team - It Takes a Village - and I’ll be doing some of the laps for her (great rehab for my knee - physio approved!) If you’re able, please consider donating to us via our It Takes a Village page. Every dollar goes directly to supporting youth mental health.
Asking for help is important!
