Did you know that in Australia, more young people lose their lives to suicide than to car crashes or cancer? It's a shocking fact that really makes you stop and think. This March, I'm doing something about it—I'm swimming 20km. It's not just about getting fit; it's about raising awareness and support for young people who are struggling with their mental health.
Swimming this distance is also a personal challenge for me. It keeps me focused and helps me manage my own mental health, something I've battled with for a long time. I know firsthand how tough it can be to ask for help, and even tougher when you can't find the support you need.
So, by sponsoring my swim, you're not just cheering me on. You're helping to make sure young people in Australia have access to the mental health services they desperately need. It's about letting them know it's okay to ask for help and making sure they can get that help when they do. Let's dive in together and make a real difference.
