Baptiswim - jherit

After a grueling three-day hiatus, I finally made my triumphant return to the warm, chaotic waters of Cannington; a pool so lively it could double as adventure world. Tough first swim back. My favourite speedo goggles, unprepared for this March comeback tour, crumbled and folded under pressure just like Jayson Tatum (The Anomaly) in last week’s game against the Cavs. But if there’s one thing looking after my mental health has taught me, it is to keep going. And so I did. Because frankly my dear, I got that dog in me. Lap after lap I powered through, felt like a chlorine-fueled machine. Bulk purple sectors in the first 20 laps. By the time I hit my 60th and final lap, a faint, muffled anthem reached my heavily waterlogged ears. It was Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter, courtesy of the dedicated pool Zumba crew. A poetic touch. I felt accomplished, victorious even, only wishing I had more “espresso” during the day to keep me going. Day one done, shoutout chlorinated water frfr

We’re swimming to save lives

Did you know suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia?

That means that each year more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer.

This March, we’re swimming to make sure young people in Australia have the mental health support they urgently need.

By sponsoring our challenge, you’ll be helping to prevent youth suicide.

All funds raised will help young people feel better about today and the future, no matter what challenge they're facing.

Our Impact

So far this year we helped provide...

408

Jherit, as you take on this incredible 31km swim challenge for mental health, remember the true power lies in your "war room." This is where your mental toughness lives—the space where you harness every ounce of focus, determination, and belief in yourself. When the water feels tough and your body starts to fatigue, that’s when the war room becomes your most powerful tool. It’s where you dig deep and remind yourself of why you're doing this. In the war room, there’s no room for doubt, no room for giving up. Visualize yourself moving through each lap with unwavering focus, tapping into that mental strength you’ve built. You control the narrative in there, and it’s all about resilience, endurance, and finding peace in the process. Every stroke you take is a battle won in the war room, and as you face each challenge in the water, know that you are mentally preparing yourself to conquer it. So when things get tough, retreat to your war room—keep your mind sharp, stay focused, and remember: you are a warrior, and you’re doing something extraordinary. Keep going strong, Jet—you're fighting for mental health, and that strength will carry you all the way to the finish line!
