Laps for Lachie Ricchini

Lachie and the Ricchini family are well known in the City of Greater Geelong and throughout the wider Victorian swimming community. 

Lachie meant so much to a lot of different people from all aspects of his life and he touched our hearts deeper than he will ever know. 

Whether you were school mates, in the same swimming club, competed against him, trained with him or his brother Cam or father Brett or just said hello at the local pool, you were important to Lachie.

To honour Lachie and continue his passion to raise awareness of mental health, we will be swimming laps to save lives.

On Sunday 3rd March 2024 at Kardinia Aquatic Centre between 10.30am - 12.30pm, we will celebrate Lachie's life by hosting a community swim-a-thon for all to attend.  

'Laps for Lachie' swim caps in his favourite bright colours will be available for purchase on the day for $10 each. 

Through the support of the local council pool entry will be free on the day, along with many activities both in and out of the water.  

All funds raised will help young people feel better about today and the future, no matter what challenge they're facing.

We strongly encourage everyone to attend and Let's make Laps for Lachie a memorable event for a cause that touches many lives.
