Why I swim
I’ve joined Laps for Life with ReachOut and committed to swimming 15 kilometres in support of mental health and suicide prevention. This challenge is more than a physical test it’s a way to stand up for conversations that matter and to support young people who may be struggling in silence. Swimming has always been a place where I can clear my head, push through discomfort, and find resilience and I’m using every lap to raise awareness and funds for ReachOut’s vital work. Too many people face mental health challenges alone; no one should have to. By taking on this 15km swim, I’m hoping to turn effort into impact and laps into life‑changing support. Thank you for backing this cause, starting conversations, and helping ReachOut continue to be there for those who need it most.
I'm swimming to save lives
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.
More than 1 in 3 are experiencing mental health difficulties, yet over a million are not getting the support they need.
ReachOut provides anonymous, free and 100% online services so young people can find a safe place to connect, share and get help when life feels overwhelming.
I’m taking part in Laps for Life to make sure these vital services are always there. Please donate to my fundraiser and help more young people get the support they deserve.
