Why I swim

This March, I’m swimming to support youth mental health because too many young lives are being lost to suicide and loneliness, and that’s something we can’t stay silent about. Every lap I swim is for a young person who is struggling, who feels overwhelmed, or who doesn’t know where to turn. Mental health challenges can feel incredibly isolating, especially for young people — but they shouldn’t have to face it alone. By taking part in this swim, I’m helping raise funds to ensure there are safe, supportive services available for young people when they need it most — someone to listen, to care, and to walk alongside them in their hardest moments. Swimming might seem small, but together our efforts can make a real difference. Thank you for supporting me, and for standing with young people and their mental health 💙

Swimmer

Suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.

More than 1 in 3 are experiencing mental health difficulties, yet over a million are not getting the support they need.

ReachOut provides anonymous, free and 100% online services so young people can find a safe place to connect, share and get help when life feels overwhelming.

I’m taking part in Laps for Life to make sure these vital services are always there. Please donate to my fundraiser and help more young people get the support they deserve.
