Scentsy Kate 😉

Day 29

Day 29 – Laps for Life 💙 Today’s extra special… it’s my niece Michaela’s birthday 🎉 Happy Birthday, beautiful girl 💖 I smashed out just over 1km in the pool today and I’m SO close to hitting that 20km goal 🙌 Honestly feeling pretty proud right now. Huge shoutout to Craig, one of the lifesavers, for chucking in a $20 donation today – absolute legend! 🙏 We’re nearly there… let’s gooooo 💪 #LapsForLife #JustKeepSwimming #20KGoal #ProudMoment #ForTheKids

Bestie swim

Day 25 of Laps for Life 💙 And today I had backup… my beautiful bestie Beth 🥰 We swam, we walked, we gas-bagged (shocking, I know 🤣) AND still managed to smash out 1km in the water 💪 Multitasking queens 👑💦 Every lap still for the kids.

Lucky laps

Day 17 – Leprechaun’s Luck for Life 🍀 500 metres, 10 laps, 20 minutes flat 💪 Probably should’ve gone for 17 laps or 17 minutes… didn’t think of that until after 😂 Today I’m channelling a little Leprechaun’s luck — not for me, but to be a lucky charm for the kids who need it most 💚 Every lap is for them. Every bit of support counts. Thank you so much for supporting me 🍀✨

Day 15

500m of hydrotherapy walking and stretching today. 😊 Forgot my towel and Craig one of the lifeguards brought me one over to use thank you. 😊

Walk not swim

Physio chose violence today. (With love. Ivana is amazing and works actual muscle miracles 🙌) Dry needling in my right leg — the one that still carries the drama from last year’s back injury. If there was a muscle in that leg that didn’t get a needle… I’d be shocked 😂 Because it was pretty tender after, I swapped swimming laps for gentle pool walking. Still managed: ✨ 1,075 metres ✨ 29:09 minutes ✨ 1km of “sore but stubborn” movement Not every day is about smashing PBs. Some days are about showing up, adjusting, and getting it done anyway. Now excuse me while I soak in magnesium and Epsom salts like the responsible adult I occasionally am 🛁✨ Day 10 ✔️ Still moving for youth mental health 💙 #LapsForLife #PhysioChoseViolence #DryNeedlingSurvivor #StillShowingUp #justkeepswimming

🌧️ day 8 – guess what the weather’s doing?

Yep. Still. FKN. Raining. At this point I’m not training for Laps for Life… I’m training for the bloody Olympics in Monsoon Swimming. Today’s vibe? ❌ No motivation ❌ No sunshine ❌ No excuses either So I dragged my soggy backside to the pool and… 💥 1KM DONE 💥 Sometimes it’s not about feeling pumped. It’s about showing up when you absolutely CBF. And today I showed up. Sleepy. Wet. Uninspired. Still swam 1km anyway. Because this isn’t about perfect conditions. It’s about raising money for youth mental health and preventing youth suicide. And that matters more than my mood. So here we are. Day 8. 1km down. Still raining. Still going. If you can’t donate, share the link. If you can’t share, come sit poolside and heckle me. Support comes in many forms 😂 #LapsForLife #RainCantStopMe #NoMotivationStillMoving #47AndStillFerall #justkeepswimming

Day 7 done!

Almost missed the pool today. it shuts earlier on the weekend. chucked on the Cosi and got to it 600m done for the day.

Swim mate today

Sorry to anyone who tuned in for mower action — today it’s just pics of me getting wet in the water 😜 Big thanks to Vaughan (my friend’s absolute legend of a human) for jumping in and joining me for a chunk of my swim for Laps for Life 🫶 He kept me company for about 20 minutes and knocked out a few laps alongside me. Meanwhile… I somehow cracked out 1.3km today. Like. WHO. EVEN. AM. I?! Considering yesterday’s “training session” was mowing the lawn and calling it cardio, I figured I’d better redeem myself and throw in a few extras. And here we are… 1.325km later… feeling slightly smug and very waterlogged. Every lap = awareness. Every kilometre = showing up. And today? We showed up. Thanks for the company, Vaughan — you made the laps way more fun 💙 #LapsForLife #1Point3WhoDis #GettingWetForACause

Woohoo sunshine

Sunshine, no calf cramps, and the flippers are finally starting to feel like friends instead of tiny torture devices. My watch had a little meltdown after 100m (same, mate), but after the classic turn it off and on again trick, we were back in business. Total today: 525 metres — just over half a kilometre done and dusted! 💪 Bonus moments: ☀️ Sunshine instead of rain 👋 Celebrity appearance from Beth at the end 🏍️ Jackson rode past on his motorbike… did he stop to say hello? No. But he did stop at the pool, so I’m counting it. Another day, another swim towards supporting youth mental health through Laps for Life. Every lap counts 🫶

Calf protest day 🤣

The resilient Mermaid is back 🌧 Day 3 of March. 🌧 Day 3 of rain. 🏊‍♀️ Day 3 of Laps for Life. Did I smash 1km today? Nope. Did I still get in a 50-metre outdoor pool, in the rain, with brand new flippers that tried to assassinate my calves? Absolutely yes. 400 metres today. Plus some very glamorous walking laps because my calves decided to stage a protest. Apparently my legs were like, “Ma’am… we were not consulted about these flippers.” Major calf cramps. Slight ego check. But we adapt. Still showed up. Still moved. Still supporting youth mental health. And honestly? That’s what this challenge is about. Not perfection. Not ego. Not smashing PBs every single day. It’s about consistency. It’s about doing something. It’s about making waves for a cause that matters. Also… 27 degrees in the water? Basically spa vibes. I wasn’t suffering THAT much 😜 400 metres in the wet. Outdoor 50m pool (which is a whole different beast). Day 3 done. Rain can’t stop me. Crampy calves can’t stop me. We keep going. Donate, share, or jump in with Kate and I if you’re keen 💙 #LapsForLife #StillShowedUp #RainOrShine #MakingWaves #ThisGirlIsOnFire

Day 2

🌧 It’s raining. The sky is crying. And I thought… cool story bro, I’m getting wet anyway. Day ✌️ of Laps for Life done and dusted — another 1KM in the bag 💦 How am I smashing out a kilometre on DAY TWO? Absolutely no idea. Was I this motivated last month? Also no idea. Are we rolling with it? Bloody oath we are. We’re swimming to help prevent youth suicide. This isn’t about abs. This isn’t about pace. This is about showing up. Rain outside. Water inside. Doesn’t matter — I was getting wet either way 😜

Day 1 done!

I had back surgery last year and wasnt expecting to do too much. But I ended up smashing out 1km today. Already 20% of my goal for the month done 🥰
