Why I swim
I’m swimming this March because too many young lives are lost to suicide. Every lap I swim will help make sure there’s a safe place for young people to turn when life feels overwhelming.
I'm swimming to save lives
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.
More than 1 in 3 are experiencing mental health difficulties, yet over a million are not getting the support they need.
ReachOut provides anonymous, free and 100% online services so young people can find a safe place to connect, share and get help when life feels overwhelming.
I’m taking part in Laps for Life to make sure these vital services are always there. Please donate to my fundraiser and help more young people get the support they deserve.

My Updates
Third swim down!
Today was a big day swimming! Although I only swam 1km... The great news is I Swam 100m without stopping! Sounds small but huge to me... not only that I also did the whole 1 km freestyle... My breathing is improving. Small gains, big changes... If you donated today thank you xx ShareFirst swim done!!
It was a laboured event, which began with me not knowing the etiquette of the pool... I tried to read the lane signs but somehow still managed in the aerobics lane! 🤦🏊🤽 I was trying to find the quietest one... Mission accomplished until 10min later when a pile of people populated my lane in standing position... So I had to ask where to swim because now I was blind, fully immersed and only in foggy goggles 🤣🤣 I wear glasses and had traded them for non prescription goggles... I was sent to lane 4... Right next to the adult squad swimmers... Sigh... I then struggled to breathe and laboured up and down till I accidentally broke etiquette again when I swam backwards.... On the right...🤦🏊 And had a collision with another previously not there swimmer!! So lessons learnt: 1. I'm very unfit but working on it! 2. The quietest lane may be for water aerobics.... Ask first... 3. Try not to swim on the right... 4. I CAN FREAKING SWIM 1 WHOLE KM!!! ShareThank you to my
