Why I swim
I’m swimming this March because too many young lives are lost to suicide. Every lap I swim will help make sure there’s a safe place for young people to turn when life feels overwhelming.
Swimming to save lives
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.
More than 1 in 3 young Australians are experiencing mental health difficulties and over a million are not getting the support they need.
ReachOut provides free, anonymous and 100 percent online support so young people always have a safe place to connect, share and feel heard when life feels overwhelming.
This is my second year taking part in Laps for Life and throughout the month of March I will be swimming 31 kilometres to help raise funds and awareness.
I truly believe everyone deserves support during dark times and that no one should feel like they have to go through things alone. If we can help make that support more accessible, then lets try to make it happen.
If you are able to donate or share my page, I would be so grateful. Every bit of support really does make a difference.
Thank you so much for being here and for supporting this cause 🤍
