Too many young lives are lost to suicide. This March, I'm swimming for every young person who needs somewhere to go when life feels like it's too much 💙
I'm swimming to save lives
Anyone who knows me well, knows that I lost someone special to youth suicide when I was 16. I still remember the silence that followed, the unanswered questions, the weight of a grief I would never understand, the ache of wishing someone had reached him in time. Time has passed, and I have a son of my own now. He’s bright and funny, and at times a total idiot, but he’s coming to the age when life can become tricky and so incredibly overwhelming. Both of these boys are the reason why I’m swimming 20kms this March. Every lap is for them, and for every young person right now who is struggling. People care, please hold on 💙 If you can spare anything, $5, $10, $20, you’re not just donating. You’re saying that young lives matter. That no teenager should have to face the darkness alone 🙏🏻🤍💙
