This March, Paul Sadler Swimland Rowville is proudly taking part in Laps for Life in support of ReachOut Australia and their vital youth suicide prevention programs.
Our involvement this year comes from the heart.
Elizabeth Parer was a much-loved member of our Swimland Rowville family. She trained hard, set big goals, and had dreams of working poolside one day. Like so many young people, she showed determination, resilience and spirit in the water. Tragically, Elizabeth passed away last October after struggling with her mental health.
In honour of Elizabeth — and in support of her family — we will be swimming throughout March to raise funds and awareness for youth mental health.
Laps for Life encourages participants to swim throughout the month, raising money to ensure young people across Australia have access to free, confidential mental health support when they need it most. Every lap swum represents hope. Every dollar raised helps create connection, conversation and care.
As a swim school, we see firsthand the confidence that grows in and around the water. But we also know that strong swimmers can still be fighting silent battles. Mental health matters — in sport, in school, in families and in our community.
We are inviting our Swimland families, staff and broader Rowville community to join us:
