I’ve been swimming since I was 1.5 years old - basically long enough that I’m pretty sure I was supposed to be born a fish. My mum and dad spent half my childhood driving me to pools at ridiculous hours, sitting in stands (Or waiting in the car…), and pretending they weren’t inhaling a copious amount of chlorine, so it’s only fair that I put all those years to good use now. I’m swimming for suicide prevention and youth mental health, a cause that genuinely matters and is unfortunately more common than you’d think, and I want every lap to help someone who needs the support. Now here’s where you come in. Every $1 equals 50 metres - which means you get to decide exactly how far I have to drag my water-logged body through the pool. As an example, $50 = 2.5 kilometres. Feeling a bit sadistic and want to see me swim until I question my life choices? Or perhaps you prefer to keep me just mildly exhausted? Also completely valid. Either way, your donation makes a cardinal difference… and gives you direct control over how ridiculous this challenge becomes.
