Why I swim
I’m swimming this March because too many young lives are lost to suicide. Every lap I swim will help make sure there’s a safe place for young people to turn when life feels overwhelming.
I'm swimming to save lives
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.
More than 1 in 3 are experiencing mental health difficulties, yet over a million are not getting the support they need.
ReachOut provides anonymous, free and 100% online services so young people can find a safe place to connect, share and get help when life feels overwhelming.
I’m taking part in Laps for Life to make sure these vital services are always there. Please donate to my fundraiser and help more young people get the support they deserve.

My Updates
90 days post surgery
HI there, I'm 90 days post Bilateral Knee Replacement Surgery and I have taken to the pool to rehabilitate my aching knees. I figured while I'm following the thin black line I would swim for a cause. I have chosen to participate in ##lapsforlife for the charity ReachOut. ReachOut provides online support for youth suffering mental health adversity. In March I have pledged to swim 10 kms and and I am fund-raising on the way. Thanks to those of you who have generously donated to date. Every dollar goes to help prevent youth suicide. Share
90 days
HI there, Today I am 90 days post Bilateral Knee replacement surgery. I'm using Swimming as part of my rehabilitation. So I thought, if I'm going to be in the pool following the long black line, I might as well have others benefit from my efforts. Having a lived experience of mental health issues, I figured what better way to raise money, than to swim #lapsforlife, to raise money to support our youth mental health with the charity ReachOut. I would love for you to sponsor me as I embark on a mission to swim 10 kms in March. Every little bit of $ helps to prevent youth suicide. ShareThank you to my
