Why I swim
I’ve struggled with mental health for most of my life, especially anxiety, depression, and periods of feeling completely lost. I still go through these emotions and feelings to this day, and things like Therapy and resources like ReachOut Australia have helped significantly. It’s not always easy, but it’s been one of the most important steps I’ve taken for myself. Swimming has always been one of the few places I find clarity. When everything feels overwhelming, the water gives me space to reset and breathe. It’s where I feel steady again. This March, I’m swimming for Laps for Life to raise awareness and funds for young people who are struggling silently. No one should feel like they have nowhere to turn. If you’re able to support, donate, or share! It truly means a lot.
I'm swimming to save lives
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.
More than 1 in 3 are experiencing mental health difficulties, yet over a million are not getting the support they need.
ReachOut provides anonymous, free and 100% online services so young people can find a safe place to connect, share and get help when life feels overwhelming.
I’m taking part in Laps for Life to make sure these vital services are always there. Please donate to my fundraiser and help more young people get the support they deserve.
