My friend james
I was in learn to swim at NAC when I met James. I was 9 years old. We challenged each other to swim our best. I remember one lesson James tried to dive in and did a big belly flop instead. We moved up into squads together, James was always a better swimmer than me, but we still had lots of fun together. Friday nights we would race against each other at club night. swimming brought us together, but we were good friends. I was very sad when James took his own life at the end of 2025. I swim for him this month.
