Fuelled by muesli, yoghurt, hopes and dreams, I set out today with a goal of swimming at least 1km freestyle. I hoped to push on beyond this to give me a bit of a buffer, a good suggestion from my strategy coaches. With only one other swimmer in the lane, I eased into 500m of freestyle. Then gave myself a rest with breaststroke because maybe I shouldn’t have had anything to drink last night. That was the rest of the swim, mostly freestyle broken up with breaststroke. The extra 50m was me walking to the changerooms because I couldn’t end the swim on the app with wet fingers. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated. You’re the best!
