Why I swim
I’m swimming this March because too many young lives are lost to suicide. Every lap I swim will help make sure there’s a safe place for young people to turn when life feels overwhelming.

This March, I’ll be swimming 15km in support of youth mental health 💙
My daughter Grace is a swimming instructor, and she often shares how being in the pool can be a lifeline — a place of focus, calm, and connection for young people who may be struggling. Sometimes, just having that space makes all the difference.
More than one in three young people experience mental health challenges, yet over a million aren’t getting the support they need.
That’s why I’m taking part in Laps for Life, supporting ReachOut, who provide free, anonymous and 100% online mental health services. They create a safe place where young people can connect, share, and get help when life feels overwhelming.
If you’d like to support this cause, I’d be so grateful for a donation — but even taking a moment to read, share, or start a conversation about mental health makes a difference. Every lap is for young people knowing they’re not alone.
Thank you for being part of it 🤍
