Why I swim
Hello, everyone. I really appreciate God's gift of my swimming - I can enjoy this exercise whenever I have the time. So I want to give something back to the community through my swimming: that's why I'm taking the LAPS FOR LIFE Challenge again. I've set myself a target of 18km and with your encouragement I hope to achieve above that. We'll be raising funds for mental health. I don't know anyone whose family isn't touched by mental health issues, especially with young people, and so I'm hoping that not only will your generosity help ReachOut to help our loved ones get back to great health, but I know these funds will save precious lives. So thank you in advance for your encouragement and support!
I'm swimming to save lives
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.
More than 1 in 3 are experiencing mental health difficulties, yet over a million are not getting the support they need.
ReachOut provides anonymous, free and 100% online services so young people can find a safe place to connect, share and get help when life feels overwhelming.
I’m taking part in Laps for Life to make sure these vital services are always there. Please donate to my fundraiser and help more young people get the support they deserve.
