When I heard about the Laps for Life challenge, I immediately wanted to become a part of it.

Did you know that suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia? That means that each year, more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer.

Together lets beat this thing.

Why I am doing Laps for Life

When I heard about the Laps for Life challenge, I immediately wanted to become a part of it.

I lost my beautiful little sister Isabelle 6 months ago to suicide.

Previous to this I have always struggled with depression and anxiety. Only in the last couple of months have I been able to talk openly about my condition and it has helped me tremendously.

I’m slowly learning to live life with my grief with the love and support of family and friends (and a few doctors). As part of my recovery process I am excited to show my support and help others by entering Laps for Life and raising much needed funds in an attempt to help as many people as possible.

NO WAY IN AUSTRALIA should another brother feel like this.
NO WAY IN AUSTRALIA should lack of funding stand in the way of someone choosing life.

Challenges like Laps for Life can also really help reduce the negative stigma around talking about suicide, depression and mental health.

As someone who has been directly impacted by mental health issues, I really wanted to make a diffference and Laps for Life is giving me that platform.

So please, if you can, make a donation however large or small, and together let’s try and ensure that NO WAY IN AUSTRALIA young people’s lives are damaged or worse yet cut short.

This is something that is very close to my heart mate. A lot of people don't know this because I hide it well. I've been battling depression since I was a young teenager. I won't go into detail, but I always to focus on things like racing and some projects away from work to fill my head, so it doesn't get the chance to wander.
