Why I swim
I’m swimming this March because too many young lives are lost to suicide. Every lap I swim will help make sure there’s a safe place for young people to turn when life feels overwhelming.
I'm swimming to save lives and raise awareness of youth mental health.
Youth suicide is a tragedy too terrible to contemplate. Sadly, it is a reality for too many young people. Providing access to help when needed to help prevent this is what ReachOut is about.
I am swimming and raising funds for this essential service so that young people who are at risk get the help and support they need when they need it. As a mum, I would like to know that someone who is facing hopelessness can find hope and help needed to come through dark times.
If you would like to help me support this worthy cause and potentially help save young lives, please consider donating.
This is my second year of participating in Laps for Life, a worthwhile nationwide fundraising event. I am honoured to participate again in 2026.
ReachOut provides anonymous, free and 100% online services so young people can find a safe place to connect, share and get help when life feels overwhelming.
