Why I swim
I’m swimming this March for my son James because too many young lives are lost to suicide. Every lap I swim will help make sure there’s a safe place for young people to turn when life feels overwhelming. Losing my son James is not only a tragedy for our family and friends but also a loss of a kind caring compassionate young man who would have help change the world to be greater place to live 💔

Week 3 swim today at Bermagui. This is extra special for me as the last time I was here I was with James and we discovered this pool 💙🫶💙 James sent a cheer squad to meet me which was very special and had extra meaning for me from him. 500 metres swam and even had some whiting and 2 rays swimming with me. Miss my boy so much 💔

Suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.

I’m taking part in Laps for Life to honour my son James who we all so dearly miss.
