This March, We are swimming laps every single day for Laps for Life to raise money for ReachOut Aus and ReachOut Parents, providing free, accessible mental health support to young people across Australia.
We lost a beautiful 13-year-old loved one to suicide.
And heartbreakingly, so many people around us carry a similar story.
No family should have to live with that pain.
No young person should feel so alone that they believe there’s no way out.
In 2025, more than 2.5 million people turned to ReachOut for support. The need is real. The crisis is real. But so is the impact we can make.

I so agree, young people have a hard lot to deal with these days. So important to have someone to speak to when everything looks dark around you. I am now 67 years but I have been in a situation like this myself in younger years and feel myself very fortunate that I was lead to India and Vipassana meditation. After the first 10 day silent retreat, my whole outlook on life changed. I continue with Vipassana meditation to this day. 😌 There are centres now all around the world, in Australia there are several, one in Blackheath, one in Pomona QLD, in Victoria, in Tasmania ... It is based on the teaching of Buddha mere inside observation of mind and body.
