Kiwi Specials on a mission

First post on Facebook

Phew the swimming will be easier than what I just went through with setting up this page.  We now have a post on my Facebook page and I have let the other ladies know they need to sign in to join.
This is what I posted on Facebook.  We tried to create an image that reflected us but Mental Health struggles, age and an amputated leg seems too hard for AI to create.

Love you all for even reading this!

Doing Laps for Life for the second year. Getting active and raising funds and at a minimum awareness about Mental Health and youth Mental Health struggles. This is an Australian even but I am doing it for all the young people I know around the world.
This year my special friend Natalie is joining me. Natalie is a New Zealander living in Australia, who has a big life story (Including having one leg amputated). I am hoping to add some of our stories to our page.
Also my mum (with her own life story) is helping us out where she can trying to stay active at 75 years old. So proud of mum.

We’re swimming to save lives

Suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.

More than 1 in 3 are experiencing mental health difficulties, yet over a million are not getting the support they need.

ReachOut provides anonymous, free and 100% online services so young people can find a safe place to connect, share and get help when life feels overwhelming.

We're taking part in Laps for Life to make sure these vital services are always there. Please donate to our fundraiser and help more young people get the support they deserve.
